Május első vasárnapján műsorral ünnepeltük meg az édesanyák, nagymamák, dédik és pót- és keresztanyák mindennapos, megfeszített munkáját. A magyar iskolásaink és néptáncosaink előadásai, az apukák lángosa tette felejthetetlenné az eseményt.
Az édesanyák odaadó, önfeláldozó munkája egy olyan elfoglaltság, hivatás, amely életeket kísér végig. Az általuk tanúsított kitartás egész évben rendíthetetlen, nem megy szabadságra. Ezért – bár van egy nap, május első vasárnapja, melyet nekik szentelünk – fontos, hogy minden nap tettekkel és szavakkal is bizonyítsuk, mennyire fontos szerepet töltenek be életünkben az édesanyák.
Az idei ünnepségen a Szent Imre Magyar Iskola diákjai versekkel készültek anyák napja alkalmából, amelyet Hideg Klaudia, az intézmény igazgatója tanított be a gyerekeknek. A felnőtt csoport tagjait is bevonva, a diákok egy videóban osztották meg, hogy miért büszkék édesanyjukra, mi a kedvenc emlékük róla, vagy éppen hogyan szólítja őket az édesanyjuk.
A Csárdás Néptáncegyüttes az elmúlt egy év munkáját koronázta meg bukovinai koreográfiájával, amely sok gyermeknek az első fellépése volt. Az izgalom nyomaiban sem volt felfedezhető: az előadás osztatlan sikert aratott a közönség körében. A koreográfia Tóth Patrícia és Takáts Michelle munkáját dicséri, akik a heti táncpróbákon tanultakból egy fantasztikus műsort alkottak.

On the first Sunday of May, we celebrated the tireless, everyday work of mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, as well as stepmothers and godmothers with a special programme. The performances by the Hungarian school students and folk dancers, along with the lángos prepared by the fathers, made the event truly unforgettable.
The devoted and selfless work of mothers is a role that accompanies lives from beginning to end. The perseverance they demonstrate is unwavering throughout the entire year; it never goes on vacation. Therefore, although there is one day – the first Sunday of May – dedicated to them, it is important that every single day we show through both words and actions how important a role mothers play in our lives.
At this year’s celebration, the students of the St. Emeric Hungarian School prepared poems for Mother’s Day, which were taught to them by Klaudia Hideg, the institution’s director. Including members of the adult group as well, the students shared in a video why they are proud of their mothers, their favourite memories of them, and even how their mothers call them.
The Csárdás Folkdance Ensemble crowned a year of hard work with their Bukovinai choreography, which was the first performance for many of the children. There was no sign of nervousness – the performance was an undeniable success with the audience. The choreography is a testament to the work of Patrícia Tóth and Michelle Takáts, who created a fantastic programme from what was learned during weekly dance rehearsals.
While the stage upstairs echoed with the sounds of dancing shoes, downstairs lángos were being fried thanks to the diligent work of the fathers. We would like to thank István Toader, Péter Kovács, László Gyalog, and Imre Papp for their help in preparing them! After the performance, everyone enjoyed the freshly made lángos, and soon conversations took the stage at the tables.
